On speaking with a friend, we examine the recent ask for quality by customers in accordance with pricing that designers offer. I for one will not question why a designer decides to sell at what rate and why(having immersed myself at some point in the process of production, and knowing that some processes, techniques require much labor, hence the cost). We concluded that there was a line between designer tags/label and the quality of the actual merchandise, understanding that though some consumers of fashion would still pay quite a price sometimes to acquire a particular item, others may not, while questioning value and some just won't budge.
Its important for designers at this point to realize this and try to make up for the gap of the quality of their products and the value in currency, rather than making an item luxurious without a proper justification.
